What's New At the Pound

Just a few updates to let you all know about your favorite Browns blog:

- The Barking Lot will be changing its name. When we started up our forums, the name seemed just about perfect. However, unbeknown to me at the time, my buddy Dune at Dawg Bones has been putting out a podcast by the same name for quite some time now. I really don't want to steal Dune's thunder, so we'll be taking suggestions for a while here for new names.

- We have been getting plenty of readers here, but it seems that many are keeping their opinions to themselves. Just a reminder that the Dawg Pound wants to hear what you think! You can click the "Comments" link under any one of the posts here to speak your mind on whatever topic is being discussed.

- I have to say that I'm not too pleased with my hosting company at the present moment, and I'm giving much consideration toward the idea of building my own server and hosting the Dawg Pound on my own. If anyone would like to support this effort, or this site in general, I will be placing a "Donations" button in our menu. The site is run on funds that come directly out of my pocket, and although I do have some sponsors, the revenue generated from them is pretty minimal. There is no obligation whatsoever to donate, but if you're feeling generous, it's always appreciated!

- Because we know that there are other events outside the Cleveland Browns around the world of sports that people want to know about, I will soon be adding an (almost) daily update with different stories throughout the sports blogosphere. If you have a blog or web site that you would like to be considered for inclusion in these updates, please email me at topdawg[at]dawg-pound[dot]net with information, including your site's name, URL, and RSS feed.
